Project Day - Antenna Kits

The club meets at 10am on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Anyone is welcome to come by for a more relaxed gathering than the business meeting and learn about amateur radios.

This weekend the club will working on building antenna kits for the summer. We all know winters in the Seward area can be brutal with high wind storms of sleet, snow, and rain. Many antenna set ups often don't make it through a storm, and thus, why not take time in the winter to prep your replacement antenna for the spring. We will also be working on any other kits people might want to put together. Bring your gear box and tools and wire, let's make antenna's together.

One of the club's goals is to be able to communicate with nearby communities of Crown Point, Moose Pass, and Cooper Landing in times of a disaster.

Good fun, and frustration as our unique terrain of the fjord can play havoc on signal interpretation.
